JEWISH STUDENT ASSOCIATION
The Jewish Student Association (JSA) at American University
is the only student-run University-funded club on campus
committed to providing religious, cultural, social,
and educational programs and experiences for Jewish
students at AU. We strive to create and maintain a pluralistic
environment, encouraging students from all sects of
Judaism as well as the secular community to get active
and participate.
AU JSA is led by an executive board of six students
elected to year-long terms in December, and a general board consisting of twelve students. The current
JSA board is working hard to create opportunities on
and off campus that target the diverse needs of Jewish
students. We focus on social programming, with an emphasis
on community service and holiday celebrations while
creating a welcoming Jewish community here at AU.
JSA works hand in hand with AU Hillel to reach as many
students as possible. We are constantly in search of
new and innovative programs and we welcome your ideas.
The entire JSA Board and Hillel staff encourages you
to contact any board member with questions, suggestions,
or even just to say hi! We invite you to GET INVOLVED!!
